At first glance this is a pretty standard project. A smart Holiday Home is further enhanced with a raised deck. The deck provides a great place to relax and enjoy the view. We finished the deck off with white PVCu balustrade and matching skirting. The skirting smartens up the whole look, and the addition of lockable access panels not only makes maintenance easy but provides useful extra storage. The skirting also provides a secure attachment point for the power supply while concealing the bulk of the services. Outside taps can also be fitted. The high-quality products from Liniar are manufactured in the UK, and are very low maintenance, with no risk of rot. A quick clean with warm soapy water and a soft cloth occasionally is all that is needed to keep the whole project looking smart and modern for many years to come.
The problem with raised decks is that people with mobility issues can find access to them impossible. The same applies to young children in pushchairs. The solution? A raised deck with access ramp instead of steps. The non-slip surface makes access available to all, whatever the weather.
The finished result is a smart but practical design that doesn’t exclude anybody from that great view. Not a standard project at all, and one we are proud of. Do you need help making it easy for your loved ones with mobility issues to enjoy your Holiday Home? Contact us for a free consultation.
